KAHULUI - Former Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa will host a live one-hour television show titled "Reality Check - Frank Discussions About Issues Affecting Maui County" at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Akaku:?Maui Community Television Channel 53.
The show will describe Hui Malama Learning Center's new and expanded programs for middle- and high-school students to be offered in the next academic year and will share some findings from its recent community survey regarding educational needs on Maui.
Arakawa's guests will be Sandy Ryan and Jean Groden. Ryan is program director for the Maui Economic Development Board and president and chairman of the Board Development Committee of Hui Malama.
Groden is Hui Malama's academic program director.
The show will take calls from viewers at 873-3430 and will be replayed at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays between July 8 and 29.
