As a new member of the board of directors of Hui Malama Learning Center, I want to to thank the community, our funders, the Hui Malama staff and fellow board members for their support during the past academic year.
During my first year on the board, I've been inspired by the style of teaching, the intimate classroom setting and the impact that Hui Malama has on its students. Equally impressive was the overwhelming response from the community to our "Are You Cool with School?" survey distributed in May. I am very excited to be a part of the new direction Hui Malama is taking with its innovative programs and vision.
