HONOLULU (AP) --- The father of teenage professional golfer Tadd Fujikawa will serve at least a year in prison for drug trafficking.
Derrick Fujikawa apologized in court Monday to family and friends for causing ''embarrassment'' and ''heartache.'' Tadd Fujikawa, a graduate of Moanalua High School, was not in court.
The 45-year-old Fujikawa pleaded guilty in February to two counts of dealing crystal methamphetamine to undercover police in 2007. He faced as much as 10 years in prison, with one year mandatory.
The judge set the minimum at the low end because Fujikawa took responsibility, including voluntarily completing drug treatment at his own expense.
