Here we go again, someone trying to use the "wag the dog" distraction when the socialization of our current health care is at stake. The Aug. 23 letter "Island leaders need to heed warming warnings" is wrong. We should all pay attention to our environment, but let's face the facts about global warming.
The report "Global Warming Cracked Open: A Peek Inside," published April 28, 2008, by Dr. Nicholas Drapela of Oregon State University, stated that there are over 160 scientists globally who have disproved with facts the model Al Gore used. As a matter of fact, these same scientists have concluded that we are heading into a global ice age.
In March an article appeared all over the country from a senior operations research analyst for the Environmental Protection Agency - Dr. Alan Carlin - titled "Proposed NCEE Comments on Draft Technical Support Document for Endangerment for Greenhouse Gas Emissions under the Clean Air Act."
In his 98-page report, Carlin disproves the daily ice melt of Greenland. The EPA was so furious about this article they attempted to squash it and Dr. Carlin because it spoils their future socialistic agenda.
Remember, there's legislation still lurking on the horizon which proposes a huge tax increase - the cap-and-trade bill.
This global warming myth is just that, a multitrillion-dollar scam. Al Gore's capital is now more than $100 million and growing.
