HONOLULU (AP) - The University of Hawaii at Manoa has recorded its largest enrollment increase in six years.
The UH system's flagship campus said Tuesday that fall enrollment rose by nearly 400 students over the same time last year to more than 20,300.
This year's enrollment includes more Hawaii residents and fewer nonresidents than last year.
Manoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw says the university is able to provide improved on-campus housing and additional financial aid for students this year.
The students from every Hawaiian island, every state and more than 100 countries are pursuing 225 different degrees.
