For many years, Tom Stevens has written his "Shave Ice" column about his wanderings, memories of his youth and other equally non-noxious subjects.
His Sept. 9 column crossed the line and was a liberal tirade full of inaccurate statements. He is obviously visiting way too many liberal blogs. What is even more disturbing is that he is a teacher, a person penetrating the minds of students. I have never met a liberal instructor of any subject who could resist poisoning their instruction with their liberal agenda.
Mr. Stevens just could not resist spewing his liberal take on plain old Americans exercising their First Amendment rights. The guy with a gun was legal to carry the weapon and in a legal place, and it was not an AK-47. The TEA (Taxed Enough Already) party folks, well, Mr. Stevens, your twisted view was just astounding.
Another problem is that there are people here that will take what you say as gospel without doing their own research. Although Mr. Stevens smeared Republicans at every turn, his column was an incredible work of propaganda against Americans. I guess if you are liberal you can protest. However, if you are just an average American with an opposing view, you cannot protest without being called racist, McCarthy advocates and worse.
I would have expected better from Mr. Stevens. But his true colors surfaced like an alien popping from the stomach of the space traveler.
