Upcountry pumpkin patch packed full of fun

FIRST PHOTO: Spencer Birch, 7, of Pukalani, hauls out his selection under the watchful eye of a scarecrow Tuesday morning at Kula Country Farms. The farm stand's pumpkin patch is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This Saturday only, the patch will close at 2 p.m. Kula Country Farms is located off Kula Highway near Rice Park.
SECOND PHOTO: Logan Birch (above), 14, of Pukalani has his hands full while picking pumpkins with his brother, Cannon, 3, on Tuesday. Logan said he was enjoying the experience. "I think it's great. It's the first one I've ever been to," he said of the pumpkin patch.
