HONOLULU - Hong Kong's commissioner for economic and trade affairs will discuss trade relations with Hawaii and the rest of the U.S. in a lecture at the University of Hawaii.
In ''Riding out the Economic Doldrums: The Hong Kong Story,'' Commissioner Donald Tong will also discuss Hong Kong's latest developments following reunification with mainland China in 1997.
Tong will also touch upon measures to stimulate economic performance amid the current global economic turmoil.
The lecture is set for Oct. 21 at the UH William S. Richardson School of Law.
Tong is Hong Kong's most senior representative in the United States.
