SECOND PHOTO: A group of state legislators and staffers were on the property to view problems at the facility, including overcrowding and poor conditions at the jail. The legislators also toured state facilities at Kahului Airport, Kahului Harbor and Maui Memorial Medical Center. A cell intended for two prisoners is currently home to three inmates.
