The Keiki Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on the campus Great Lawn will feature entertainment, a Keiki Zone, prizes, live and silent auctions, crafts, MCC clubs, food and more.
"Children out there cannot go to the park because their parents work during the day," said organizer Desiree Hoewa'a-Fontanilla, president of the MCC Alaka'ina (leadership) Club. "They are alone in a complex with other children to roam around, be bored, get cooped up in their units.
"You can help by telling others about (the event), volunteering, giving a donation of some kind," she said.
To perform or contribute time or items, contact Hoewa'a-Fontanilla at 463-0610 or desireeb@hawaii.edu.
