Simulated business contest offered at MCC
WAILUKU - The Maui Young Business Roundtable invites high school students to take part in its inaugural Business Simulation Competition sponsored by Bank of Hawaii.
The High School Business Simulation Competition will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at Maui Community College. MCC's Applied Business Information Technology baccalaureate program will be the host.
Students will test skills learned in high school business classes and obtain a taste of a day in the life of students who choose to study business after graduating from high school.
The contest runs as a computer simulation via the Web and gives students the opportunity to manage their own corporation.
Lunch will be provided to participants.
Keith Regan, co-manager of the event along with Herman Andaya, said, "This is a great opportunity for high school students to test their business skills and compete against each other in a controlled setting."
The registration deadline is Friday. For more information, contact Regan at 280-9284.
