Hard Rock Cafe in Lahaina will set the stage for a free feast for the hungry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. It will team with Feed My Sheep and Lahaina Salvation Army to make sure everyone has a safe and satisfying Thanksgiving Day this year. Local musicians will help make this a holiday to remember.
"Our menu includes roast turkey, gravy, mixed vegetable medley, rolls, mashed potatoes, stuffing and pumpkin pie," says Hard Rock's Kitchen Manager Steven Foster." We're hoping to feed 400 people."

Rock ’n’ roll icon Alice Cooper is a partner in Mala Wailea, and he’s put on his best holiday face to wish diners a happy day.
Mala Wailea, lobby level of the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, will present a Thanksgiving Day dinner buffet with two seatings.
Early-bird seatings are at 3 and 3:30 p.m. at a cost of $44.50 for adults, and $25 for children 12 and younger; and evening seatings are 5 to 9:30 p.m. for $49.50 adults, and $27 children.
Pile your plate with ahi and tako poke, chilled shrimp, sashimi, sugar-snap peas, hummus with pita bread and raita, and salads such as Caesar, Greek and Gado Gado - a classic from Indonesia.
From the carving station will be prime rib, herb-crusted roast turkey and bone-in ham with citrus glaze. The other highlights are Balinese-tofu stir fry, seared mahimahi, clam chowder and desserts. Call 875-9394.
Moose McGillycuddy's in both Lahaina and Kihei will appeal to budget-minded diners with its yummy holiday plate for $15.95 that will be served, starting at 2 p.m., through the end of today. It features freshly roasted turkey, stuffing with Italian sausage and macadamia nuts, mashed potatoes, gravy, yams, green bean casserole and cranberry sauce. Molokini Bar & Grille at the newly named Makena Beach & Golf Resort (formerly Maui Prince Hotel) will host quite the elaborate spread for this Thanksgiving Day. Seating times are at 4, 6 and 8 p.m.
Local favorite salads include bay shrimp and asparagus, somen noodles, watercress with tofu and bean sprouts, and hearts of Romaine with creamy Caesar dressing, You may also savor imported and domestic cheeses, sliced tropical fruits and sweet-potato bisque.
Hot entrees include grilled marinated Sichuan leg of lamb glazed with plum sauce, pan-seared Volcano-spiced fresh ahi, tenderloin of beef in port-wine reduction, honey-cured ham glazed with brown sugar and lilikoi mustard; and oven roasted turkey.
Other displays include an array of seafood on ice, assorted vegetable dishes, and desserts such as pumpkin pie and fresh seasonal berry cobbler.

You may not think of Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar as the place to go for Thanksgiving fare, but the Kihei location will offer a plate for $27.95 with roasted turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, Hamakua mushroom stuffing with fennel sausage and goat cheese, natural pan sauce and relish of ginger cranberry. Other specials are pan-seared scallops with foie gras; and pan-roasted island moi with baby carrots and classic almondine. The new Cane & Taro on Kaanapali Beach will offer a prix-fixe dinner for $34.95. It begins with roasted pumpkin soup, followed by a plate with roasted turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts with bacon, sausage-cornbread stuffing, and desserts of banana-walnut bread pudding with creme Anglaise or pumpkin pie.
