KULA - Marissa Iwalani Lee and James Herbert Medlin III were married Sept. 26, 2009, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pulehu Chapel in Kula, with Branch President Sam Kanahele officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Derek and Evalani Lee of Kahului, and was raised on Maui. She is a 2007 graduate of Kamehameha Schools Maui.
Her maid of honor was her sister, Jessica N. Lee, and her flower girl was her niece, Kawai Apolo, both of Maui.

The groom is the son of James Medlin II of Idaho and Veronica Medlin of New Mexico. He was raised in Riverside, Calif., and is a 2006 graduate of Southwest High School in St. George, Utah.
His best man was his friend, Marshall Sacapanio-Baisa, and his ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Zachary Murayama, both of Maui.
The couple met while attending Dixie State College in St. George, Utah. The ceremony and reception were attended by 125 family and friends from Maui, California, Texas and Utah. The couple currently resides in Kahului.
