ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — A man accused of burglarizing cabins across a wide swath of Utah has agreed to a package of plea deals to settle charges from seven counties.
Troy James Knapp pleaded guilty Monday in a St. George courtroom to 10 felony counts of burglary. He was sentenced to one to 15 years on each count.
His state prison time will run concurrently with each other and with his federal sentence of 10 ½ years, which he received earlier Monday on weapons charges.
Knapp became a sensation in Utah as he raided cabins, stealing guns, whiskey and supplies. The 46-year-old declined to speak in court.
The federal judge told him he should write a book.
