Sharon Stone is the latest star to be seen at Mala Wailea, after the soiree New Year's Eve with rockers Mick Fleetwood, Alice Cooper and John Mayall.
"Sharon loved the miso opakapaka and the ahi bruschetta," says Mala partner Shep Gordon. "She also came back in for dinner the next night."
In addition, the Seghesio Family Vineyards wine dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Ed Seghesio (father of winemaker Ted) and the company's national sales director, Edd Lopez, will chat up guests.

The dinner will begin with glazed lamb chop with quinoa lentil salad and rosemary dijon glaze, followed by roasted Hawaiian butterfish in zinfandel and green-peppercorn beurre blanc.
The entree is Kurobuta pork Stifado with tomatoes, chick peas, mint and glass noodles with ginger. Dessert is chocolate bar with creme Anglaise.
Seghesio's sangiovese, zinfandel, Venom (a single vineyard sangiovese) and port will flow. Cost is $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
"We just started a kamaaina special with 50 percent off of food after 8 p.m.," says Shep. "We're also going to feature more of the old Avalon dishes on the menu and as specials. Every day, we get customers asking for Avalon items." (Avalon was a famous Lahaina restaurant owned by Mala Wailea's Chef-partner Mark Ellman.)
Last but not least, "We are bringing back Grand Chefs on Tour," says Shep. "Many of the chefs who participated have agreed to do the series again, including Emeril Lagasse. It should begin midyear."
