February 3, 2010
The Maui News

The Queen Victoria spent Monday at Lahaina Harbor; it was the ship's first visit to the Valley Isle.

Lahaina Harbormaster Hal Silva said a "fair amount" of the ship's 1,900 passengers came ashore. The Cunard cruise ship is 965 feet long, 106 feet wide and 179 feet tall, according to its Web site. It has a guest capacity of 2,000.

Eighty-six percent of its staterooms are outside, and 71 percent of its staterooms feature balconies.
