Food orders will aid church in Lahaina

LAHAINA - Lahaina Baptist Church will benefit from a fundraiser connected with Panda Express Lahaina at 1200 Keawe St. mauka of Honoapiilani Highway.

Customers who order food between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. today must mention the church at the time of purchase. Twenty percent of the purchase will be donated to the Pomaika'imaikalani Lahaina Baptist Church Signing Ministry.

Door of Faith to host two music ministers

WAILUKU - The Wailuku Door of Faith Church will host Randy and Gay Hongo, Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning singers and music ministers from the Christian Vision organization of Honolulu, during its 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. services Feb. 7.

Youth service slated for Apostolic Faith

LAHAINA - The Apostolic Faith Church Maui Branch (Jesus Coming Soon) will hold its biannual youth service at 10 a.m. Sunday.

The song service will feature the choir, orchestra and special selections presented by youth members of the church's Sunday School Department.

The youth preacher will be Maryalice Masuda, with a sermon on "Destruction for the World." Christopher Bacos, a 4th-grader at Lihikai Elementary School, will be the

youth announcer. Cynthia Makimoto is the church's youth director.

The church is at 1211 Front St., near Mala Wharf in Lahaina.

Sunday services for Heart Psalms center

KIHEI - The Heart Psalms Worship Center will hold services from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Kihei Charter Middle School, 42 E. Lipoa St.

The Rev. Adisa "Omar" Camara will speak on "Faith That Demonstrates." She also will lead the praise and worship music service.

And, there will be a ribbon praise dance.

On Feb. 21, the center will have the Rev. Paulo Rambo give the message of the day. The meditation service will be led by Christine Warner.

The center holds services on the first and third Sundays of the month from noon to 1:30 p.m. For more information, call 298-9022.

Monday deadline for project reservations

KIHEI - Reserve by Monday for the Jewish Congregation of Maui's 13-week "The David Project" course on the Arab/Israeli conflict.

The series will cover the conflict's history, and will equip students with a positive response that advocates for Israel and peaceful co-existence with the Arab population, a release said.

Classes will begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Beit Shalom Synagogue, 634 Alulike St. in Kihei.

Classes generally will run 1 to two hours Thursdays, through May 27, with several sessions off due to holidays. A $25 donation is requested to cover materials costs. Couples may share materials.

Sweet Heart dinner to aid Unity Church

WAILUKU - Unity Church of Maui will hold a Valentine's Day "Sweet Heart of Unity" dinner dance fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 14.

The event will be held at the church facility at 483 S. High St.

Admission price is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Payment includes dinner and entertainment.

A dinner crepe-and-salad buffet will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a 30-minute "Love Song Singalong." Dancing and socializing will follow. Attendees will be able to shop for sweets, treats and gifts, and have a Valentine's Day photo taken.

Shuttle parking will be available at the Kalana O Maui Building nearby on High Street because parking is limited at the Unity facility.

Prophetic meeting set for Grace Church

PUKALANI - Grace Church will host the Golden Glory Prophetic Conference from Feb. 14 to 16.

The conference will feature prophetic evangelists Tom and Deborah Gliebe of FireGate Ministries International. The Gliebes, according to a Grace Church news release, have ministered worldwide for 20 years and recently moved from the Mainland to Hawaii.

The conference will be held in the evenings at 6:30 on the three days. Grace Church is located at 55 Makaena Place in Pukalani.
