* Aqua Hotels & Resorts has appointed Markus Schale general manager of the Hotel Wailea Maui. He was born in Germany and graduated with a degree in travel and tourism from Ryerson University in Toronto.
In 2001, he was appointed president and chief executive officer of Horizon & Co. in Canada, a group of luxury travel companies. Upon the sale of Horizon, Schale moved to Maui.
Terry Dowsett was named general manager at the Ilikai Hotel & Suites. He joined Aqua Hotels in 2005. He has more than 20 years of Hawaii hotel experience, which includes general manager positions with Embassy Vacation Resorts in Kaanapali and Outrigger Prince Kuhio.
He is a graduate of Florida State University and the Culinary Institute of America in New York.

* Outrigger Enterprises Group has named TJ Oesterling general manager of The Kapalua Villas and Dina McCallion as director of sales - Maui for the Outrigger Condominium Collection.
Oesterling returns to Outrigger from his position as the regional vice president operations - Pacific Region for Wyndham Vacation Ownership. He also held various positions with Hilton Grand Vacation Club, and prior to that he was regional vice president of Shell Hospitality Management, Inc., overseeing four properties in Hawaii. During four years with Outrigger, Oesterling was vice president of the Condominium and Timeshare Division.
McCallion has been at Kapalua Resort as sales manager and director of sales for The Kapalua Villas, and most recently was the director of sales for the Kapalua Resort. She also worked in sales at the Kapalua Bay Hotel when it was managed by Marriott Renaissance and Starwood.
