The uppermost section of road at Haleakala National Park has been closed due to high winds, the park announced.
The closure affects the portion of road between the upper visitor center and Red Hill, the mountain summit.
All visitor centers are currently open.
The mountain summit was recording sustained winds of 45 to 50 miles per hour, park officials said.
Officials advised park visitors to drive carefully and park into the wind so car doors would not be blown open and damaged.
