Sure, Black Angus Steak House in Kahana is known for its quality certified Angus beef entrees, cooked to perfection. You can order anything from prime rib to juicy New Yorks in a variety of sizes and preparations.
But owner Raul Bermudez also wants to get the word out about his new sushi bar, which opened in the lounge two months ago.
"It's great. People love it," says Raul, a masterful chef and successful restaurateur who also owns Big Wave in Kihei and Sands of Kahana. "The sushi bar created a lot of atmosphere."

Owner-chef Raul Bermudez takes a break from the kitchen with red wine and gourmet fare. The restaurant is independently owned and not the Stuart Anderson franchise.
From 5 to 6:30 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to closing, get 50 percent off nigiri and maki sushi. In addition, fish and seafood are on the menu and the restaurant serves more of these than meat.
"It's funny, but it gives us a lot of creativity back in the kitchen," says Raul, who offers grilled fresh catch, broiled salmon and garlic-shrimp scampi. You'll also find a half-pound of steamer clams, freshly shucked oysters, baked lobster tails, king crab legs and crispy crab cakes.
Kids eat free every night at 5 with purchase of every adult entree. There is also a keiki menu for the other times of the evening.
Raul has a partner who grows organic vegetables Upcountry, so all of the salads and accompaniments are as fresh as it gets.
Black Angus serves hearty breakfasts from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Choose from loco moco to steak Benedict.
