KAHULUI - The Rainbow Studies Program of the Maui Language Institute is taking applications.

It is designed for international students and visitors learning English. It also offers an introduction to Maui's natural environment and culture that could benefit any student or visitor wanting to know more about the island.

Also, families hosting visitors to the island who wish to immerse themselves in the English language as well as the island culture have used it.

The Maui Language Institute’s Rainbow Studies Program includes a hula lesson to provide students a practical introduction to Hawaii’s culture while requiring them to use the language lessons received in the morning sessions.

The two-week program has morning sessions at the University of Hawaii Maui College. There is also classroom instruction on the Maui environment and culture combined with excursions called "the living classroom" to put into practical use what they have learned.

Registration is open to both English speakers and non-English speakers until July 19. For information on tuition and fees, visit www.MauiLanguageInstitute.com, call Rosanna Cabatic at 984-3499 or 984-3408, or send e-mail to aluther@hawaii.edu.
