'SOLO SESSIONS' WITH SHIMABUKURO
Ukulele star Jake Shimabukuro will perform at 7:30 tonight during "Solo Sessions" at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The sessions, a new series of intimate musical performances in the McCoy Studio Theater, will continue with Shimabukuro on Aug. 5 and Oct. 7. Tickets are available for $25 standard seating and $45 VIP, which includes premium seating, early access to the theater for a sound check and a meet-and-greet with the artist. 'FOLLOW THAT RABBIT' TO WEST SIDE
Catch up with "Follow that Rabbit," Theater Theater Maui's summer youth musical production, at 10 a.m. today and 7 tonight at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa's Haleakala Ballroom. Kristi Scott directs the cast of 42 Maui performers, with musical direction by Vania Lee Jerome. The classic tale, based on "Alice in Wonderland," is presented in special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service of Colorado. The matinee show is $3 for adults, $1 for children under 12; the evening show is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. LAUGH IT UP
The Comedy Hui's "Island Improv Funnies" - an improve-style, audience co-created comedy similar to "Whose Line is it Anyway?" - is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the McCoy Theater of the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. 'WARGATE!' - A UNIQUE TAKE ON WWII
World War II nostalgia will be created in a "funky, living room drama" during The Maui Live Poets Society's "Wargate!" at 7 tonight at Gallerie Ha on Market Street in Wailuku.
Presented in a two-act monologue that's full of satire and controversy, the show will offer a different approach to the mood and events of "the greatest war." "Wargate!" is written and performed by poet/actor Wide Garcia and sponsored by MLPS.
With WWII as the theme, guests are invited to share original art, join in an open-mic and dance, and come dressed in '40s attire. Refreshments will be offered.
"Wargate!" is free; MLPS donations are accepted.

SWING TO BLUE NOTE ORCHESTRA
The Blue Note Orchestra will perform swing music with Jimmy Borges from 8 to 11 tonight and Saturday at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort Hotel & Spa ballroom. The 20-piece orchestra will get people on the dance floor. Admission is free.

Acclaimed classical guitarist Benjamin Verdery will play a concert at 7 tonight at St. John's Church, 8992 Kula Highway, Kula.
