Jewish School classes to begin
KIHEI - The Jewish School of Maui will begin Sunday classes this weekend at 634 Alulike St. in Kihei.
The program will be open to children age 6 to 13, with classes from 9:30 a.m. to noon Sundays, through May. Registration will start at 9 a.m.
Cost is $350 per child, with each additional child in the same family paying $100.

Anniversary service set for Sunday
KAHULUI - A 44th-anniversary service Sunday at Maui Evangelical Church will feature choir anthems and scholarship presentations, followed by a fellowship brunch.
The public is invited to the service at 8 a.m. at 265 Hina Ave. The church choir, under the direction of Pamela Peterson, will perform "We Come to Celebrate" and "It's Time to Celebrate."
Through its Christian Education program, the church also will distribute college scholarships for the second straight year to students who grew up with Maui Evangelical.
Scholarship recipients are Christine Almogela, Lindsay Joyo, Kevin Paz, Shane Ann Suehiro and Tyson Suehiro.
