Up in the air

September 4, 2010
The Maui News

Windsurfers joined stand-up paddleboarders as they got in on the action in waters of Hookipa Beach Park on Friday.

The National Weather Service predicts trade winds blowing 10 to 20 mph today and Sunday, with windward and mauka areas seeing mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers.

Leeward areas should get partly cloudy skies with isolated showers, mainly at night.

Highs should rise to 84 to 89 degrees, with overnight lows of 67 to 72.

Weather conditions are expected to persist through Tuesday, although trade winds should die down somewhat and showers are expected to be more likely, particularly at night.
