Be surprised with glimpses into the worlds of three artists in the new multimedia exhibition "Here, There and Beyond" at Viewpoints Gallery. The show, featuring street photography of Dewitt Jones, mixed-media pieces of Joelle C. Perz and painting of Betty Hay Freeland, opened last week and continues through Dec. 7 at the Makawao gallery. The inspiration for the exhibition was sparked during a recent trip by the three artists to Molokai for a digital photography and computer imaging workshop focusing on "Rekindling the Creative Spirit." It was there that "each one of the artists pledged to take their work to an edge," according to a gallery release. Freeland focuses on developing small canvases into contemporary landscapes; Jones captures slices of life during his travels around the world; and Perz combines photography on metal with wood carving, adding poetry and other mediums. Viewpoints Gallery, located at 3620 Baldwin Ave., is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call 572-5979 or visit www.viewpointsgallerymaui.com
