KAHULUI - The Maui Mall is opening its center stage to local schools on the third Friday of each month as part of a "Celebrate Education" program.
The designated school will have the use of the center stage and mall for fundraising.
Today, the focus will be on Baldwin High School's musicians. Starting at 5:30 p.m., the Baldwin High School Jazz Band will play, followed by the Symphonic Band at 6, the Chorus at 6:30 and the Marching Band at 7.
Schools will be invited to perform on the Maui Mall center stage, provide a school banner, which will be put up by the mall the week of the center stage performances, in trade for a donation to the school.
In order to fund raise, the designated school also can put up booths. The mall must approve merchandise.
Donations for a school can be made at participating merchants through the end of the month.
