FirstLight, the Maui Film Festival's annual holiday gift for the island's film fans, continues Friday night in the Maui Arts & Cultural Center's Castle Theater.
On the bill are two extreme sports extravaganzas -one totally in the ocean and the other elsewhere on the planet.
At 7 p.m., the event will include music by Lily Meola and Toby Couture in Castle Theater. There will also be lots of giveaways including a surfboard, sunglasses, clothing and more.

FirstLight will return to Castle Theater on Dec. 15 for two weeks, showing most of the movies expected to be in contention for Academy Awards, Golden Globes and other prizes during the film industry's awards season. For details, visit www.mauifilmfestival. com.
