Sports Spotlight students are selected by athletic officials from Maui County high schools and these profiles are compiled by the sports department of The Maui News. The Alexander & Baldwin Foundation makes a $200 donation in honor of each student athlete to their high school's athletic fund.
SPORTS LESSONS: "In athletics, it is impossible to reach perfection. You put in countless hours, days and years, yet at the end of it all there is still room to improve. It is this drive for the unobtainable that every athlete feels. It is this drive, this hunger, that makes sports the best part of my day."
