WAILEA - Maui Oceanfront Marathon officials have said their race on Sunday will create delays and detours on South Kihei Road between 4:30 and 7 a.m., and cause closures on Front Street in Lahaina.
Front Street will be closed between Prison Street and Shaw Street in both directions, and South Front Street will be closed southbound between Shaw Street and Honoapiilani Highway.
The course begins in Wailea and ends at Kamehameha Iki Park in Lahaina, and will also take runners along North Kihei Road. Competitors will run on the road shoulders.
