The fourth annual Mystic Island Festival, a celebration of music, visionary art, workshops, yoga and community, will feature musicians through the weekend at Camp Olowalu in West Maui. Maui Slam Poetry's Beatnick Beat Night, an all-acoustic night of poetry, music and art, will kick off at 9:30 p.m. at Casanova in Makawao. Experience words from the heart and soul, accompanied by improvisational rhythms of Justin Morris and Matt Del Olmo of BrownChicken BrownCow String Band. Cellist Ashana Sophia Morrow will perform a "Symphony of Scents," and an after-poetry dance party will be offered.
