WAILUKU - The free Maui Economic Opportunity Head Start preschool program for families that meet certain income criteria will accept applications for the 2011-12 school year starting Tuesday.
Children born in 2007 and 2008 are eligible for enrollment.
Applicants may apply from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays at the Head Start office, Maui Economic Opportunity, 99 Mahalani St. in Wailuku.
They must bring a child's birth certificate and two statements of household income, such as 2010 W-2 forms, 2010 tax returns, four to six current pay stubs or a TANF printout.
