DUI Sentences

The following sentences for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of Feb. 14 to 18. The listings include the offender's name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and have their licenses suspended for 90 days; exceptions are noted.

Wailuku District Court:

Jay Borden, 26, Kihei; DUI, open container, lack of due care; five-day jail term, $850 fine, 18-month license suspension.

Louise Ruth Koch, 59, Phoenixville, Pa.; DUI; $250 fine, $50 restitution.

Mollie J. Pascher, 24, Haiku; DUI; $200 fine, one-year license suspension.

Thomas S. Walsh, 28, Kihei; DUI, lack of due care, driving without a license; $150 fine.
