WAIPAHU, Oahu - Maui United's three boys teams in the Oahu Presidents Day Cup completed unbeaten runs to first place in their pools on Sunday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex, and will play in the bracket portion of the tournament, which concludes today.
The under-12 boys red team beat Le Jardin Soccer Academy 3-0, then defeated Kaoi 4-0 and improved to 4-0-0. The under-12 white team recorded a 3-1 win over the Honolulu Rush for a 3-0-0 mark. In the under-9 division, Maui United was 4-0-0 after edging the Honolulu Blitz 1-0 and beating Windward Arsenal 8-1.
The Maui United girls 10 team lost 5-0 to the Honolulu Rush and was eliminated with an 0-2-1 record.
