CELEBRATE the rich heritage of Upcountry's ranch land with live entertainment during "Ulupalakua Remembers" from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Maui's Winery and Ulupalakua Ranch Store. The free event will feature some of Hawaii's top musicians, including Brittni Paiva, Big Island's up-and-coming multi-instrumental artist. Paiva, a Na Hoku-award winner for Most Promising Artist in 2005, is already accomplished in ukulele, guitar, bass, piano and drums, with four albums under her belt - and she's only 21 years old. Paiva will kick off the event at 11 a.m. At 1 p.m., ki ho'alu master Cyril Pahinui takes the stage with Peter Moon, Jr. and Jeff Auhoy. Another island favorite, Uncle Benny Uyetake, returns to Ulupalakua with his smooth slack key stylings at the ranch store from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Presented in part by Jazz Alley TV/MauiFEST Hawai'i and HawaiiONTV.com, "Ulupalakua Remembers" will also offer food, historical highlights and talk story sessions.
