GENERATIONS OF ISLE MUSIC AT FREE SHOW
For three generations, the Brown ohana has been helping to perpetuate the 160-year-old art of ki ho'alu, or Hawaiian slack key. Now, three musicians from the Maui family, brothers Kevin and Sheldon, along with Kevin's son, Ikaika, will perform together during a free concert from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Baldwin Home Museum in Lahaina. The Browns have strong musical roots and multiple albums among them. Presented by the Lahaina Restoration Foundation, the show is part of the Hawaiian Music Series program that features local artists each month. For details, lahainarestoration.org or 661-3262.
