Business, residential damage reports sought

March 15, 2011
The Maui News

WAILUKU - Residents and businesses are being asked to report tsunami-related damages by Friday to the Maui County Civil Defense Agency.

The information will ensure that the county has a complete picture of the scope of damage caused by the tsunami Friday and determine if the county qualifies for state or federal disaster assistance. The information also will assist in the mapping of flood plains and tsunami inundation zones.

A survey to report damage is available online at www.mauicounty.gov.

More information is available by calling the Maui County Civil Defense Agency at 270-7285.
