WAILUKU - Nominees for the Maui, Molokai and Lanai planning commissions will be reviewed next week by the Maui County Council Policy Committee, along with those nominated to 20 other county boards and commissions.
Mayor Alan Arakawa has nominated Ivan Lay and John "Keone" Ball to the Maui Planning Commission, Zhantell Dudoit to the Molokai Planning Commission, and Roberto Hera to the Lanai Planning Commission.
The council has until March 31 to approve most of the appointments. The Policy Committee will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in eighth-floor Council Chambers of the Kalana O Maui building.
