Community invited to fellowship supper

KULA - St. John's Episcopal Church in Keokea invites community members to its last Friday of the month fellowship supper this evening.

The meal is free from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the church, 8992 Kula Highway, across from Keokea Park.

"Come enjoy a pre-Easter meal with friends," said organizer Ellen Lundquist.

Church schedules 'Spring Fun'd Fair'

WAILUKU - Good Shepherd Episcopal Church will hold its "Spring Fun'd Fair" on April 2.

The event will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Wailuku church's upper campus, and will feature baked goods, fresh produce, and a rummage sale with clothing, books, household items, glassware and golf clubs.

Church anniversary celebration planned

MAKAWAO - Makawao Union Church will kick off the celebration of its 150th anniversary with History Sunday at its 10:30 a.m. worship service.

Kamehameha V, also known as Lot Kamehameha, signed the first charter for the church's congregation April 20, 1861. Among those attending Sunday's special service will be a former Makawao Union pastor, the Rev. Gene Parks.

The church is located at 1445 Baldwin Ave., about 2.5 miles above Paia.
