Who is your personal hero and why? "My personal heroes would most definitely be my parents. Both of them have taught me very valuable lessons, and they're my support team. . . . They're such strong and loving parents, and I'm blessed to have them. I may argue and have disagreements with them, but . . . I know they only want the best for me. I am grateful for their unconditional love and support. I love you Mom and Dad, and thank you for all that you do for me."
The students are selected by officials at their respective high schools. "Student Spotlight" recognizes students of good character who are involved in school or community activities such as athletics, clubs, student government and volunteer work.
Editor's note: This is the last Student Spotlight of the 2010-2011 school year. The feature will resume in August.
