WAILUKU - Dean Wong has been selected as Imua Family Services new executive director.
Wong, who has 15 years of experience in health and human services and nonprofit leadership, is now leading Imua, which provides programs on Maui and Lanai focused on early childhood development services for children and their families.
Also, recently Imua Family Services was given the Partner Agency of the Year Award by the Maui United Way. MUW helps people through agency support of essential local programs offered by local partner agencies, such as Imua, a release said.

Wong was selected following an extensive and thorough executive search process.
Most recently, Wong served as the house manager of the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, and prior to that he was the director of HIV/AIDS Prevention Services at the Maui AIDS Foundation, where he also worked in health prevention for Native Hawaiians, Asians and Pacific Islander communities, a release said.
