Nothing gets Maui jamming like Reggae in the Valley — the sixth annual concert that highlights island-grown bands for a fraction of what other concerts charge. Dubbed Maui’s version of Oahu’s Birthday Bash, the show kicks off at 5 p.m. Saturday to feature Sly Dog, Maoli, Hoaikane, Kolohe Kai, Natural Vibes, and the Hot Rain Band with Siaosi/Kiwini, Vaitai/Laga, Savea/Damon Williams, Fiji and J Boog. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 day of show (plus applicable fees), available at the MACC box office or online; Da Kitchen in Kahului and Kihei; Green Banana Internet Cafe in Paia; Old Lahaina Book Emporium; and Wailuku’s Request Music. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., a preshow dinner will be offered. Reggae in the Valley is presented by CNA Entertainment, Bud Light and Native 92.5.
