Do you love to snap and eat crab legs, dipped in drawn butter with a drizzle of lemon? Then you'll adore Crab Fest Wednesdays at the Ocean Pool Bar & Grill in Kaanapali.

"Enjoy a crustacean carousel feast Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 9 p.m.," says Sumithra Balraj, director of public relations for the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas, where the restaurant is located. "We showcase a bucket of freshly steamed snow and dungeness crab, and serve it with home-style fried chicken, corn on the cob, cole slaw, garlic bread and pineapple cobbler. Cost is $44.95 adults; and $22 for children."

Ono Pool Bar & Grill also makes a splash Fridays with its Sushi Sensation promo during happy hour. Damien Awai performs.

In addition, sister property Westin Maui Resort & Spa in Kaanapali is "going Hawaiian" with its new four-course Ahupua'a menu at the oceanfront Tropica Restaurant & Bar.

"Created by our resort's Executive Chef Garret Fujieda, the Ahupua'a dinner menu showcases local produce harvested from various climate zones, from the mountains to the ocean, as observed in old Hawaii," says Balraj.

"Selections include Hawaiian blue opae (freshwater shrimp) featuring pohole fern salad with local chili pepper as well as Kula Onion risotto with Upcountry Maui goat cheese and Kapalua beets."

You'll also find Maui Cattle Co.'s New York strip loin served with Kula-grape tomato and sweet-potato hash. Ask about wine pairings, which are available with each course.

Tropica's hours and days of operation are from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays to Sundays.

For Tropica reservations, call 667-2525.
