Flipping out over the high surf

August 2, 2011
The Maui News
Noah Hill, 9, of Lahaina, catches a wave at Olowalu on Monday morning. Hill, who has been surfing since he was 5 years old, was joined by a crowd of surfers and bodyboarders who were attracted by surf in the 2- to 3-foot range on the west side. The National Weather Service forecast for Maui today is mostly sunny with a high near 89 and breezy, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Tonight’s low should be around 67 under partly cloudy conditions.
