Judy Buettner, of Olinda, helps a mermaid kite take flight while spending time with her granddaughter, Kristie Baker, 2, of Huelo, under gusty conditions at 4th Marine Division Memorial Park in Haiku on Monday.
The two are frequent visitors to the park and especially like to explore Kalakupua Playground together.
