FREE CONCERT WITH ISLE'S REIKO FUKINO

Pack a picnic and join the crowd on the lawn of the Baldwin Home Museum for a free concert with Reiko Fukino from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today. Fukino will be joined by her daughter, Nalei Pokipala, to entertain the crowd with local island favorites and contemporary tunes. The seasoned artist has worked with several of Hawaii's leading local vocalists; she released her first CD, "Timeless Classics of Hawaii," in 1999. REGGAE SUMMER JAM WITH MAOLI, MORE

Reggae returns to the west side as Tarrus Riley and the Blak Soil Band, Damon Williams, Teki and Maoli take the stage during the all-ages Reggae Summer Jam at Lahaina Civic Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $35 in advance, available at West Side Vibes, Solid Clothing Co. and Request Music, and $42 at the door. DON'T MISS A BEAT OF LAHAINA OBON FEST

Beating drums, dancing, food and more are in store when this weekend's obon festival, a colorful Japanese cultural celebration, kicks off at Lahaina Hongwanji Mission, 551 Wainee St. Service starts at 6 p.m. Friday; dancing follows at 7:30 p.m. Obon is an annual summer event held at Buddhist temples around the island in remembrance of loved ones. GET SWEPT AWAY WITH AHUMANU

Enjoy the sweet Hawaiian music sounds of Ahumanu during Maui Calls, Maui Arts & Cultural Center's signature fundraiser gala from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday in the A&B Ampitheater. The seasoned entertainers will perform at the start of the event; Jimmy Mac & the Kool Kats and dancing will follow. Gourmet appetizers and desserts are prepared on site by 18 of Hawaii's top chefs. MASTERWORKS FEST TAKES STAGE IN KIHEI

Masterpieces performed by Mauians are not to be missed this weekend during the two-day Maui Summer Masterworks Festival. Presented by nonprofit Musical Voices Maui, the concert features three works by Vivaldi, Mozart and Bach, performed by more than 60 isle choral singers under the direction of Robert Willis. The festival begins at 7:30 tonight at Kihei Baptist Chapel, 1655 S. Kihei Road. Tickets are $25 for center of house; general seating is $15. 'WILD DOLPHIN DAYS' EVENTS IN S. MAUI

Pacific Whale Foundation's "Wild Dolphin Days" are making a splash on dry land this weekend with a free sand sculpture contest and a free dolphin talk today in South Maui. The Wild Dolphin Sand Sculpting Contest for all ages and skill levels will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the north end of Keawakapu Beach; register on the beach before 9 a.m.; judging takes place from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Pacific Whale Foundation's "Wild Dolphin Days" continues with a three-hour dolphin watch cruise, departing at 9 a.m. from Lahaina Harbor and visiting three areas off the coast of Lanai and/or Molokai.
