DUI Sentences

The following sentences for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of Aug. 5 to 10. The listings include the offender's name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Wailuku District Court:

Kehaulani Cho-Pacheco, 41, Pukalani; DUI, third-degree assault; five-day jail term, $250 fine, two-year license suspension.

Benjamin C.K. Hooper, 22, Kihei; DUI; $150 fine, 90-day driver's license suspension.

Stacey Lynn Garofalo, 39, Maalaea; DUI; two-day jail term, $150 fine.

Logan T. Johnson, 23, Wailuku; DUI (with child passenger under age 15), driving while license suspended or revoked; two-day jail term, $850 fine.

Second Circuit Court:

Marcel Riesling Mirassou, 45, Las Vegas; DUI (third offense), driving while license suspended or revoked for DUI, no insurance; 30-day jail term, $3,486 fine, five-year license revocation.
