September 6, 2011
The Maui News
Wailuku resident Moku Naeole, 12, skates down a painting of the Hawaii state flag Monday morning while spending time with friends at Keopuolani Skate Park. The 7th-grader at Iao Intermediate School recently received a new board and was breaking it in. National Weather Service forecasters predict that windward and mauka areas will see partly cloudy skies and scattered showers today through Friday, with leeward areas having mostly clear morning and night skies and partly cloudy skies with isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs should range from 83 to 88 degrees, with overnight lows of 69 to 74. Winds are expected to be variable to 10 mph, shifting out of the east Friday.
