Maui Crafts Guild will feature printmaker and ceramicist Michi Itami during an exhibition through Oct. 27, opening with a reception from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Paia gallery. Enjoy live music by Upcountry Celtic and refreshments.

Itami retired five years ago to Maui after teaching college art courses in New York City. Since moving to Maui, Itami has exhibited in juried shows including Art Maui, Honolulu Printmaker and Hawaii Craftsman. Oil painter Diana Leone will demonstrate her work at Maui Hands galleries locations through this month. Leone, whose plein air paintings cover scenics, portraits and still lives, will offer demonstrations at Maui Hands from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays in Paia and from 11 to 3 p.m. Thursdays at the Hyatt Regency. Images Fine Art Gallery in Lahaina announced that Romeo Robert Tomei will be the highlighted artist during a reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. Scotty Baird of Sticky Fingers will play music. Tomei, a local artist, studied at the Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in New York, has more than 45 years of artistic experience and has traveled the world creating his one-of-a-kind paintings, according to a gallery release. Sargent's Fine Art, 802 Front St., Lahaina, will host Maui artist Roman Czerwinski during a reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. Originally from Poland, the artist has developed a "unique impressionist style that faithfully captures the lush beauty and vivid colors of the islands, as well as romantic cityscapes and individual commissions," according to a gallery release.
