The Rotary Club of Upcountry will be picking up old televisions and computers for e-cycling from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday as a fundraiser.
The Rotarians will go to people's homes, pick up the old equipment and take it to the Habitat for Humanity's Re-Store warehouse in Wailuku for refurbishment or recycling.
The club requests a donation of $5 for each small box of accessories and small items such as keyboards, speakers, laptops and small TVs up to 19 inches; $10 for medium-sized items such as monitors, computers and TVs up to 25 inches; and $15 to $20 for TVs 26 inches or larger.
The club also will pick up batteries for $5, or car batteries for $10.
The areas the club will service include Paia, Haiku, Pukalani, Makawao and Kula.
Usable equipment will be donated to Habitat families, schools or nonprofits. Items that are not usable or sellable will be shipped to the Mainland for recycling.
The Rotary Club will use the proceeds for its scholarship and student leadership training programs and other community service projects.
To request a pickup, call 573-9260 or 568-0131.
