Teaching prayer event planned for Nov. 2

WAILUKU - Frances Pike will be teaching prayer at Wailuku Door of Faith Church on Nov. 2 from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

She has been a full minister for more than 35 years with her husband Garnet Pike and is an international speaker and author.

The event is free.

St. Theresa Feast Day Celebration Sunday

KIHEI - St. Theresa Feast Day Celebration will be held Sunday following the 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Theresa Catholic Church.

A solemn procession honoring St. Theresa will form at the entrance of the church and end at the parish courtyard.

The festivities will begin with a potluck luncheon at 11:30 a.m. in the hall. There also will be entertainment. Fresh-baked Portuguese bread will be available for sale.

There will be no 5:30 p.m. Mass.
